A new chapter: the reintroduction

Yerp!

It’s been a miiinute, but the wait was worth it. Welcome to the new and improved digital home of my creative journey!
If you’ve been following along, you’ll notice things look a little different around here. I’ve spent this time away diving deep into a better productive mindset, total site revamp, moving over to a more streamlined, visual experience. The goal was simple: to create a space that feels as bold and energetic as the art itself. From the fresh color palettes to the improved layout, every detail has been tweaked to make it easier for you to explore the latest drops and gear.

What’s New?

Beyond the aesthetics, the engine under the hood is revved up. I’ve integrated better fulfillment options to ensure that when you grab a heavyweight hoodie or a new art print, the experience is seamless from checkout to your doorstep. While the website has been a major focus, it’s certainly not the only thing cooking in the studio. I’m currently balancing several high-energy projects that I can’t wait to share:

* The Field Guide: I’m deep in the design phase of a specialized sketch journal. This isn't just a book of blank pages; it’s being built as a true companion for artists, featuring custom ID fields and integrated resources to help you document your process.

* New Merch Categories: I’ve been experimenting with specialty finishes—think holographic effects and high-gloss textures—for an upcoming line of stickers and pins.

* Expansion: I’m also laying the groundwork to bring these designs to a wider audience through new marketplaces, making the brand more accessible than ever.

The Vision
At its core, this brand has always been about the intersection of urban grit and futuristic sci-fi. Whether it’s through a wearable piece of art or a planner designed to organize your creative chaos, the mission remains the same: to create gear for those who live to create.

Thank you for being part of this evolution. Stick around—there is so much more to come.

Happy Mother's Day and a Trew comic con sighting!?!

First off, Happy mother's day to the mother of my beautiful baby girl Zion. And another shout-out to my mother. Love you both. You are some of the dopest mothers I know. To all the other mothers out there being the best moms you can be. Happy mother's day!

I was very fortunate to be invited for another year to the Phillipsburg comic con in NJ. I have been asked to be an artist at this show for a few years now. It's a comic convention ran by the comic book club and they get sponsored by local businesses and etc. The clubstaff and the students involved are great. The most welcoming show I have been fortunate to exhibit at. This show was cool vibes. I Can't be wait for next year. Here are some pics of the show.

Comfort zone

Yerp! I am working on getting out of my comfort zone. New year. New things. New challenges. Gotta step out of my comfort zone and onto faith. Gotta push through the tired feeling.

Gotta keep pushing through the discomfort and pain. Gotta go to that new place. The next level. It definitely isn't easy. Especially being a parent. That work life balance is definitely a work in progress.

I will be posting some artwork very soon. Just started a new sketchbook too. Stay tuned. I believe @inspiredtowrite said you gotta stop hoarding your artwork and just show it. So I will. Stay tuned

Don't wait…

Yerp! Back again with another quote. Still have to work on this consistency thing. The thing is I am actually working on some things but not exactly sure if I can show any of it at the moment. If I did it would be without context on what the back story is.

Working on not waiting for the right time to drop some artwork. So I will be dropping sketches and fanart that I have been working on. And in that mix will be some of the stuff I am working on. Some you have saw when I have been included in some Collab posts with @circleofpharaohs and @kreative_force.

Me and those 2 bros are working on a project together. Still in development but it is making progress. Just bare with me and my building of consistency with my posting.

Happy Father's day

I know it's late but I want to wish all the fathers and father to be a great ass Happy Father's Day!

Don't let anyone tell you or try to make you feel that your not needed because you are. Whether your that father figure for your niece, nephew or grandchild. Your presence in that child or children's lives is needed.

We need more respectable men to help with raising the next generation. Just like mothers are needed so are fathers. Both are needed. Together to help raise the next generations up as beat as you can.

Parenthood is a role that many may fall into but not as many take it seriously.

Again. Happy father's day to all the fathers and father figured out there. Uncles, grandfathers or whoever. Thank you and enjoy.

…Inspiration?!

What's up trew fans? Hope everyone is doing good. Still working on getting my ish together to be more consistent with posting and dropping dope artwork.

Came across this quote by Picasso and it struck a cord with me. Inspiration is literally everywhere. It's musical. Visually. Real life. You name it and it's a source for inspiration. But are you working to tap into those inspiring vibes?

I know that with loads of inspiration that it can be distracting. Trust me I have to break my inspiration dive to actually get some work done. Lol.

What inspires you to create? Music? Games? Real life? Movies? Let me know.

Evoke: Gil Scott heron piece

This piece was inspired by the man, Gil Scott Heron. A famous African-American soul singer, jazz poet, musician, and author. Known primarily for his work as a spoken-word performer in the 1970s and 1980s. A musical fusion of jazz, blues, and soul, as well as lyrical content concerning social and political issues of the time, delivered in both rapping and melismatic vocal styles. The revolution will not be televised is a phrase that is often quoted till this day. This is a piece I have made to pay homage to his great work and influence on generations to come.

Happy New Year!

Happy new year. Hopefully 2022 brings less mess then what 2021 had. I took some time away from social media to work on my skills. Sharpening my skill set. Doing the daily grind as well.

2021 was definitely a year that had me step out on faith and test my own skills. My focus and drive Definitely was put to the test. And I must say I am proud of my decision. It showed that I am capable of relying on myself. It’s a very liberating feeling to know that I can do what I need to do on my own merit.

coming into 2022 with this new mindset and a new perspective of things. I am working towards bringing you all the new artwork and merchandise. A closer look into my life. Get to know me better. Show you what goes behind the scenes with me and my world.

Stay tuned and stay trew to you!

Happy new year in black letters. The year 2022 in white gold font. And a yellow sun like ball eradicating yellow and white rays of light.

Happy Pumpkin day! Lol

I had a pretty busy weekend with my family. Took the family to a “Trunk or treat” event at Woodbridge mall. It was in the parking lot and it was okay. A huge crowd turned out for this outdoor event. My lil Zion had a great time. Then my family went to visit a family friend at their new house out in Jersey. Ordered some Bahama breeze and had watched Netflix on a projector in the backyard.

and today I got to kick it with my family. Low key stuff. Pizza and Netflix. It was cool to have us all link up and just chill. Good vibes. I also created a few new pieces of the monster mash cereal monsters. My take on them. A bit more dark version of said cereal monsters. All 5 of them. Count Chocula, Franken Betty, boo Berry, fruit brute (didn’t actually know his name. Had to look it up.)and yummy mummy. Check the pics out in my fan artwork gallery.

Wanted to take the time out to draw something aside from the projects that I am still developing. Trust me I am working on some things. I will post the stuff in its developing stages as I progress.

Count Chocula!

Happy Friday trew fans!

I finally finished my first comic strip. It took a while because I wasn't sure where I should go with it. Honestly I was kinda stuck on what I should do first. Went for an artist perspective this first strip out.

I have been working on leveling up my skills. Artistically and on a writing level. For more detailed stories that I want to tell. Shout out to @drsheenahoward for that @udemy writing class. Definitely made writing have more clarity for me. Sooo I got more work to do. Writing wise as well as artistically. Definitely wanna show you all more from me. Check it out at the comics section. Thank you for all the support it’s greatly appreciated. Stay tuned for more!

First steps...

So I was debating on whether or not to have a blog literally a half hour before the midnight launch of my site. It feels so good to get this part of my artist journey done. I had the domain name for about a year maybe a year in a half. With being a new father and the continuing adjustment process to my new life things were more challenging to say the least. I can’t just be up late burning the midnight oil quite like my kid free days. First time father means I got a whole new human being to help guide, teach, protect and etc. one of the greatest gifts I have ever received. A whole new level of love and joy. Hearing her laugh and smile. Learning to talk and walk. New moments everyday.

So with finally launching this website I am taking my first steps towards taking my art journey to another level. With new levels brings new Challenges as well as obstacles. I talk with my dad friends and they say you gotta work on finding the balance. I think I am getting there. Starting with these first steps. Like I sa Twitter stay trew to yourselves and look out for what’s to come

Peace And blessings,

Trew
